Degree requirements are spread across catalogs, advising tools, and registration pages. It can be hard to see how one course fits into an entire degree. Pathway brings courses, requirements, and semesters together in a native app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
I built Pathway independently, taking it from UI design and data handling through development and App Store launch. It supports multiple universities, so planning is based on each school’s catalog rather than a generic checklist.

Development
Pathway is built with Swift and SwiftUI in Xcode. I handled the interface, data layer, and third-party API integration, as well as the process of releasing and maintaining the app. The iPhone version makes it easy to check a plan on the go; the Mac version gives the same plan more room.
The project includes representing university requirements, adapting the interface for different screen sizes, and preparing releases for the App Store. I work on each part as the app’s independent developer.
Availability
The core planner is free, with an optional Pathway+ upgrade. The app has reached 400+ downloads and 7,000+ App Store impressions, as reported in my November 2026 résumé. Features continue to evolve; the product website has the current details.
